Christ the King Church

We are a church located in Havre de Grace, MD. We gather together every week to worship God, enjoy community, and have fun.

Our Mission

We exist to help people encounter God through worship and community

We are a body of believers who gather a few times a week to seek the face of Jesus. Whether it is in praise, communion, prophetic worship, the confession of our sins or anything else — He responds with His presence. When he comes into the room, signs and wonders follow. We are driven by the love of Jesus and dedicated to facilitating an atmosphere for God to move in and among us through signs and wonders. It is in him that we live and move and have our being.

The central hub of Christ the King is our Havre de Grace Campus at 410 Webb Ln, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.

Our Identity

Who we are in Christ

1

Complete in Christ

Redemption for all of every man's soul was fully purchased on the cross, giving us access to the Throne of Grace.

2

He is kind

He is not angry with us and he doen't lash out in rage. He does not inflict suffering on any person. He is by nature, both wholly and completely, perfect.

3

He wants to move

All we have to do is create a place where he can rest with his presence, interact with us and manifest in supernatural ways.

4

He delights in us

The idea of you began in the mind of Jesus and each person gives him unique, irreplaceable joy.

Our Beliefs

What we know to be true

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and accept the same as the only infallible guide and rule of our faith and practice, confirmed by the Church still united at the council of Carthage in 397 AD.

The Godhead

We believe there is but one living and true God, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Ghost; distinguishable, but indivisible and of the same essence. To the Father is credited the work of Creation, to the Son, the work of Redemption, to the Holy Spirit, the work of Sanctification.

Sin

We believe in the creation, tests and fall of man as recorded in Genesis and in his inability to attain divine righteousness.

Jesus

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, gave Himself to be crucified for our redemption and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended bodily into heaven and is our advocate with the Father and is seated there until He returns to judge the world in righteousness.

Holy Spirit

We Believe that the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father through the Son, is one substance, very and eternal God.

Salvation

We Believe that Jesus Christ was foreordained from the foundation of the world to be the lamb of God, and by shedding of His blood, on the cross made provision for salvation for all men; that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations; that there is none other name under heaven, given among men whereby we must be saved.

Water Baptism

We Believe in the Sacrament of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Godhead, in order to fulfill the command of Christ.

Spirit Baptism

We Believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, and is subsequent to Salvation.

Gifts of the Spirit

We Believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12:1-14, and as manifested in the early Church.

Sanctification

We Believe that sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5.23; Hebrews 13:12) The Scriptures teach a life of holiness without which no man shall see the LORD.

Holy Communion

We Believe in the Sacrament of Holy Communion as fulfilling the command of Jesus Christ in John 6:53-54, "I tell you the solemn truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will have no life in you. The one who feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day;" and as a declaration of the New Covenant established at the last supper in Matthew 26:26-28 and Mark 14:22.

Supernatural Healing

We Believe in the healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the early church.

Resurrection

We Believe in the literal, bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and In His resurrection He became the first fruits of the resurrection of the righteous.

Eternal Kingdom

We Believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ wherein the dead shall be raised, the nations shall be judged, the eternal kingdom established.

Hell

We Believe in the reality and personality of Satan and the eternal judgment of Satan and his angels, along with all who have not believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Local Church

We Believe that every born again child of God should identify himself with a local, Spirit-filled church and should labour diligently and contribute toward the spreading of the Gospel. We believe that all tithes should be given unto the storehouse of the LORD, which is the local church.

Church Government

We Believe that the Biblical form of Church government is theocratic, apostolic and episcopal, whereby the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are perfecting the saints for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ. The primary offices of church government are found in Bishops, Elders and Deacons.

Great Commission

We Believe it is the responsibility of every born again believer to put forth the utmost effort and dedication in fulfilling the great commission and the discipling of the nations.
